The Fashion of Tempest

Showcasing the regional style of the North

Clothing styles are a hallmark of society.

Whether it’s the modesty and tailoring of the Victorian era, the utilitarian garments of the first World War, or the simple silhouettes of the 1920s, fashion is a staple in defining history.

In Tempest, the story takes place in the Northern region of the country. It’s a cooler region that experiences a blanket of humidity during the warmer months. Male event wear puts in a little more effort, sacrificing some comfort for nice fabric:

What about the lower class?

The lower class can be split into servants and peasants. Female servants, for example, would wear the trademark maid attire we’ve come to associate older periods with.

Male servants would dress more like this:

Low-class women who aren’t servants are typically unmarried young women with some form of income, like Gwendolyn. This is something that would be common for them to wear:

Peasants, on the other hand:

And there you have it! The Northern fashion of Tempest. Was this what you expected?
