About Me:
Hi there! I’m Adrianna. I’m a 29 year old wife, mother, business owner, and (aspiring) author.
I grew up in Tacoma, Washington (lovingly referred to as Seattle’s armpit) and spent two years studying acting in Los Angeles, California before returning home. I looooved LA, but I did not love LA’s prices.
I have two kiddos; a 6 year old boy and a 1 year old girl.
My absolute favorite color is purple. That’s probably not new information if you’ve seen either of my websites!
I love anything spicy. My favorite food is Thai food, specifically yellow curry.
I’m unfortunately gluten-intolerant and mildly allergic to soy. On top of that, I choose to eat a plant-based diet. Sometimes I have to get really creative with meals.
My own food allergies prompted me to open a bakery that centers around allergies of gluten, soy, milk, and eggs. I’ve been open and operating out of home since April of 2022. I love recreating beloved desserts without the food allergens for everyone to enjoy!
I come from a fairly creative family; my father grew up acting and writing and my mother grew up drawing and painting. I’m the oldest of three kids and all of us write. My middle sibling and I have created stories together, which I love. They’ll probably never see the light of day, but sending chapters back and forth has been a fun way to amp up our creativity!
I’ve concocted easily a dozen stories in the last decade or so. I never considered myself a ‘writer’ until I finished the first draft of Tempest (I’m really, really good at comparing myself to others when I shouldn’t). My middle sibling and I are exceptionally codependent, so they live next door. I would sit in their house and go over my plot and characters with them, which pushed me to finish the book. I then allowed my husband to read it, and to my joy (and relief) he really enjoyed it. I started book two before deciding to take the plunge and query an agent!
I watch an obscene amount of TV when I’m able to. Sitcoms are my favorite, but anything with a good story and pockets of humor will make me happy. I’ve rewatched Modern Family and Brooklyn 99 more times than I’d like to admit.
When I’m not watching TV, or writing, or working, or being a mom, or spending time with my spouse - phew - I’m gaming. Mass Effect is my favorite game in the entire world, closely followed by The Sims. I’ve played at least fifteen playthroughs of Mass Effect and have played The Sims since I was seven. I’m also very fond of the Dragon Age series, The Dark Pictures Anthology (I’ll die on the hill that House of Ashes is the best one), and the Batman Arkham games.
On top of writing and acting, my dad is a superhero and comic book lover. There are photos of me sleeping with Batman dolls and dressing up as Superman as a young child. Batman is my all-time favorite hero and Harley Quinn is my favorite sort-of villain. My son’s baby shower was Batman themed and my daughter’s was Harley Quinn themed. And between DC and Marvel, I’ll pick DC every time. No, it’s not up for discussion. :)
I recently delved into the world of gardening, thanks to one of my dear friends. I never cared about nature before, but I’m noticing that the older I get, the more plants I want to be surrounded by. I’m just hoping my black thumb doesn’t kill my chances of maintaining a garden!
Well, I think that about covers it. If you have any questions about me you want answered, feel free to send it to me and I’ll try to cover in my newsletter!
