Saints & Martyrs
Let's dive into my new story!

New Story? Huh?
Howdy! If you’ve been here a while, then you know that I briefly mentioned my series Saints & Martyrs roughly, oh, a year ago. Only then, it was a stand-alone novel. After several rewrites, edits, and readthroughs, it is now a series.
Let’s Talk About It
The Saints & Martyrs series, similar to the Eye of the Storm series, focuses on a Black female protagonist and offers point-of-view chapters from other primary characters. In Genesis, the first book, the points of view are of our protagonist and the story’s romantic interest.
The main character of this story is a 23-year-old woman named Lyric. She’s a sweet, goofy girl who is apparently a magnet for trouble. Her ethereal protector, Milo, has his work cut out for him. What he doesn’t expect, however, is for Lyric to develop a strong attachment to him. Rules aside, it is unusual for angels and humans to bond; but the pair embrace the comfort of their bond, vowing not to cross the line. Relationships between angels and humans are strictly forbidden and punishable by death. But there is a long history between Lyric’s soul and the rules of Heaven that has been buried. When it is uncovered, everything changes for both of them.
When Will It Be Published?
I am due to give birth to my third child (surprise!) in November 2025, and I anticipate having Saints & Martyrs: Genesis published before then. You’ll be the first to know the release date. 🙂
This Sounds…Religious
I am not a religious person and am not trying to push any belief system onto anyone. I use Christian theology in this story just as I use Paganism in Eye of the Storm: Tempest. It is listed as an urban fantasy romance, so I completely understand that some people may not want to read it if they feel that it conflicts with their beliefs.
In short, the use of biblical elements is not meant to offend anyone, nor is it meant to make Christianity look ‘good’ or ‘bad’.
So, what are your thoughts on Saints & Martyrs: Genesis? I would love to hear them! 😇
Until next time,
