Happy Holidays From TheSassyScribbler!

Happiest of Holidays!

I knew it had been a while since my last post, but months? Imagine my surprise (and embarrassment) when I realized just how long it had been!

From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely apologize for dropping off the face of the Earth. I had mentioned before that I was in poor health, and things have yet to improve for me. My posts will more than likely continue to be a bit sporadic as I juggle my health alongside my duties to my family.

But - on a happier note - I have resumed querying literary agents for Tempest! I had taken a short break to rework parts of it, and after polishing it to the best of my abilities I have submitted it to a few more agents. Fingers crossed I will hear back with good news, but if not, I am determined to find somebody out there who believes in my story as much as I do.

Outside of writing, I have enrolled myself in school with a Social Psychology major. As I struggle with mental illness (shoutout to my fellow bipolar havers out there) I have always had an interest in studying why the brain functions as it does, and how it is changed when a mental illness is present. Having that sort of knowledge will help me further break down and properly display why my mental or emotionally ill characters behave.

Now, with it being the end of 2023, I would like to thank you so, so much for your interest and support in my writing endeavors. It wasn’t long ago that I refused to talk about my stories, and I am so thankful I no longer fear discussing them. Your support means everything to me.

I hope 2023 ends on a wonderful note for you. Here’s to 2024!

See you next year,
